THE MENTOR FUND
“Sometimes the things you do for the folks you love,
Sometimes they don’t see it. Sometimes they can’t,
But you carry them in your heart with every step.”
Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea
We need to raise $10,000.
Baltimore, you’d shown us so much love!
As we enter our third year, we find ourselves at an exciting crossroads.
We have more ideas than we have the capacity to complete right now: plays and programs and workshops we think you’ll LOVE.
In order to grow, we much raise our capacity.
(And capacity is just nonprofit speak for people.)
People’s time costs money.
Our main expense? Salaries & stipends for artists.
When you donate to Sisters Freehold, you are paying for rent or groceries or babysitting for a local artist.
So we’re doing this the only way we know how to: by building on what came before us.
Our mentors were there for us when we wanted to give up.
Some of us are lucky enough to become a mentor to someone else.
We think you know that feeling.
Will you help us call our mentors into this space so we mntay build upon what they taught us?
With your donation, you’re supporting a local nonprofit & helping to build a new path for American theatre right here in Baltimore.
And with your donation, we’re inviting you to share your mentor’s name & wisdom with all of us.
Thank you.
